he Tom Ridge Center looks like it rises naturally from its surroundings at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park. Here in this two-story structure of brick, glass and steel, visitors will discover a 75-foot observation tower, 7,000 square feet of exhibits, an orientation theater, aquariums, a research wing and a nature shop. Among the most impressive features of the center is a large-format theater, the first of its kind in the Pennsylvania state park system. The $3 million, 6,500 square foot theater is equipped with the most modern technology available for large-format movie projection.
Whether by bike, boat or foot, there are several ways to tour the beautiful 3,200-acre sandy peninsula known as Presque Isle State Park. As Pennsylvania’s only “seashore,” Presque Isle offers its visitors a beautiful coastline and many recreational activities.
